One week left, wow. This quarter went by even faster than
the last. This week I learned a lot about myself through writing the WP3. Of
all the writing projects, I’d have to say this was my favorite one. It took a
lot of thinking and planning and although I don’t know if many others would
agree, the PB helped me tremendously. I put a lot of thinking into the PB and
had my whole project planned out, so when it came to actually doing the writing
project, everything was very simple. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and I think
it turned out very well. I started by doing the actual transformations. First I
made my song for the younger audience and then I made my lesson plan for the
older audience (which turned out to be a little more difficult then I had
thought). From there, I wrote my analysis, which wasn’t nearly as hard for me
as I thought it would be. In the analysis I basically wrote step by step what changes
I made and why I made them. I did the summary last, which didn’t take long.
The peer review helped me see what changes I could make,
that I hadn’t thought about. I think it was a good idea for me to be in a group
with someone that had the same article as me, so they could give me input that
really connected with my topic. As I had my whole project completed when it
came to the peer review, I was able to receive feedback on every aspect of the
project. That being said, I was able to make some minor changes before I turned
it in. Overall the peer review was very helpful and I got a lot of great
feedback. Now that the last project has been submitted, I feel ready to
accomplish the last task of the quarter. Bring it on portfolio!!
