As week five comes to an end, week six is about to begin.
WEEK SIX!! That’s crazy, I actually can’t believe it. I guess time flies when
you’re having fun. Anyways, week five was a blur. So much movin. From Monday to
Wednesday I was surprised how much I learned about moves. Monday when I came to
class I had no idea what a move was and after this week, I feel that I have a
pretty solid grasp. I loved the videos of the wrestling move and Micheal Jordan’s
move and think it really helped solidify my understanding. It also helped me to
see the term move in real life, rather than just in text. It was a fun and
interactive activity and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also thought the activity
about Mike Bunn’s moves was extremely helpful. It helped me to be able to pick
out those certain moves that the author used. I liked that the whole class gave
answers because it gave me more ideas and insight than I would’ve thought of on
my own. In general I like that we thoroughly dissect each text, because it’s
not something I’ve never done so in depth before but its imperative in truly
understanding the text and all of its conventions/features. I think my favorite
activity this week was when we began to talk about ideas for writing project 2.
I found it very interesting and am excited to start writing it. I love how this
class builds off material previously learned because I never feel like I’m
learning something for no reason. (p.s. I had this all done last night and woke
up to see that I fell asleep before submitting it)
